Sato evolved from its roots as a manufacturer of machines for processing bamboo, rattan, and palm, dating back to the company’s start in 1940. The founder, Yo Sato, sought maximum efficiency, and even invented a hand labeler in 1962 to fill a need. The labeler expanded Sato into label production, and then, in 1981, to introducing the world’s first thermal transfer printer.
Sato continues to see challenges as opportunities, and produces innovative Auto ID and barcode printing solutions. The company’s philosophy, Ceaseless Creativity, drives their vision to escalate precision, labor and resource savings, environmental protection, and peace of mind.
When we sought partnerships to help us provide a value-added experience for Ideal Print Solutions’ customers, we identified companies that were true innovators. We knew they would always be the leaders of emerging technologies. Sato was a natural choice, because the company’s leadership has been committed to forward-thinking for over 70 years. They didn’t jump into the crowd of technology companies, but paved the way. We are proud of our partnership with Sato, because their “Ceaseless Creativity” makes us a better solutions provider for our customers.
