Position Overview

The Inside Sales Representative will work closely with management and leverage their personal network to proactively identify prospective clients, contact key stakeholders, pitch new business and meet sales objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Leverage existing relationships to identify and contact sales prospects
• Schedule sales calls; introduce company and products
• Determine customer needs and expectations in order to best position products and solutions
• Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
• Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature
• Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
• Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
• Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
• Participate at tradeshows, conferences and other events as need by Product Marketing and Sales Management


• Minimum of six years of experience in similar position preferred
• Experience selling data collection hardware, software and labeling solutions; knowledgeable of label applications preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing, distribution, supply chain business issues
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in a multi-tasking environment
• Ability to meet deadlines, follow through on commitments, and take corrective action where appropriate
• Strong sales and selling aptitude
• Strong self-motivation
• Effective written, oral and presentation skills
